London 2012 Style Watch: Following Fashion at the Games

As editor of Flare.com, the website of the fashion magazine, FLARE, I do not often cover local sporting events, but for the next three weeks, I am reminded to look for Olympic Games in London in 2012 (otherwise known as the biggest sporting event is known on Earth ) through the lens of fashion and style. London is an international center of fashion and pop culture, both of which will go into high gear during the Olympic Games. Fashion has been in the news Olympics. Members of the U.S. team has landed on the cover of Vogue. Top designer and the daughter of a Beatle, Stella McCartney has been chosen to be the Team design kit.UK GB models Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell and Stella Tennant rumored to take part in a fashion show closing ceremony, the port looks McCartney and other British designers such as Vivienne Westwood and Alexander McQueen by Sarah Burton. Burton became famous when she designed the wedding dress of another great fashion plate: Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge (aka Kate Middleton). The Duchess is an official Team GB ambassadors, and held as one of the most photographed women in the world, the games are during the extensive details of rabid Kate observers (myself included). The Duchess aside, there are plenty of fashion to be in the games themselves, starting with the parade of athletes part of the opening ceremony. With an audience of 1 billion people worldwide are expected to watch the ceremony on Friday, could be lucky fashion brands such as Ralph Lauren, Salvatore Ferragamo, to create outfits for the athletes joined hardly show greater trace their wares.
